Bob Berliner’s exceptional legal and business background make him a superb arbitrator. As an arbitrator for complex matters in corporate, real estate and other business disputes, conflicts within family businesses and more, Bob’s business expertise and experience allows him to understand the issues in the most complicated cases. His impartiality and neutrality enable him to decide cases based on the evidence and the law, bringing an analytical perspective, fairness and value to all parties.
There are many advantages to having conflicts resolved by arbitration as opposed to working through the court system; expediency to reaching a final resolution, saving money on legal, court and attorney’s fees, private vs. public court proceedings, and the ability for both parties to decide on their choice of a neutral voice that can render fair, informed, equitable and productive outcomes. Bob is an arbitrator for the non-profit American Arbitration Association, the largest provider of arbitration dispute resolution in the US; for FINRA, the securities industry dispute resolution forum; in the Cook County mandatory arbitration program; and as a private arbitrator when selected by the parties. For example, as a private arbitrator, he decided a case where the amount in dispute exceeded $200 million.
